Do Survive How to Eat As Thais
It usual eating utensils are a fork and spoon. The fork innot used to eat with, but rather to push food onto spoon. Don’t forget to use serving spoon, especially if you’re sick (unless you on’t like the people you’re diing with!) The most senior of the group usually sits at the head of the table and is often expected to be the one who take care of the bill too. The most common dessert is seasonnal fruits. Although we rarely need to carve them into intricate flowers before we eat them. Of course, all the usual etiquette applies here too, such as not chewing with your month full, not propping up elbows, legs or any other limbs, and wash your hands before the meal(at leat don’t tell your fellow diners that you haven’t) Thai people don’t pray or “say graace” before a meal – we just dig in! However, some people do bow their heads and wai if they have leftovers on their plate after a meal; this is asking for forgiveness for wasting food. A thai meal is a relaxed and friendly group affair. Take your time, enjoy your food and the pleasure of your company!
